Enviro Care Uganda is a registered non-profit company limited by guarantee that was registered in 2017. The key drives to its formation was the deteriorating global environment due to uncontrolled greenhouse gas emissions as a result of careless utilization of natural resources forgetting the element of sustainability by communities. The organization’s mandate is to become part of the global alliance in the campaign against climate change, food crisis, energy wastage and improve lives of human populace and biodiversity globally.
Formation of Enviro Care
- The primary cause of existence of the organization call it its genesis was a live environmental crisis in South Western Uganda where people lost their lives as a result of unsustainable resources management such as destruction of vegetation, poor water and soil conservation practices presumably due to population pressure in the area.
- In recent years, there have been similar floods and landslides in eastern Uganda, especially around the Mount Elgon area. This to the conservationist looked a tragedy that could not have happened if soil and water conservation measures had been adopted. This triggered the formation and successive full operation of Enviro Care Uganda and to-date the sky remains the limit in as far as environmental conservation, food security, climate change mitigation, safe water accessibility and renewable and efficient energy utilization is concerned notwithstanding the complementary and supplementary services.
